“Clear Off GC Services Collections From Your Credit Report and Get the Score You Deserve”

My GC Services Collection Experience

I had a bad experience with GC Services Collection. They trashed my credit report and my life turned upside down almost overnight.

Find Out How I Fought Back Against My Debt Collectors and Repaired My Credit With Help from Lexington Law

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably suffered through weeks or even months of harassment by bill collectors before you decided to research possible solutions to you problem. If only we could go back in time, hang up on that first representative from GC Services Collection, and call Lexington Law for help right away!

It’s really important to get help as soon as possible, before bill collectors like GC Services Collection can damage your credit rating and limit your financial future.

Here are a few things that I wish someone had told me back when I was first contacted by GC Services Collection.

-You should never try to make friends with your bill collector. I thought I could reason with the GC Services Collection representative. After all, he called me nearly every single day. Didn’t that mean he wanted to talk to me? However, in reality bill collectors are hard-hearted professionals who will never be swayed by your sad personal circumstances. In the course of their work, they have heard thousands of tales just like yours, and by now they are pretty jaded.

-Don’t believe your bill collector has your best interests at heart. Although your bill collector may try to propose payment plans that are “good” for you or “helping” you get out of debt, don’t take his or her word for it. In many cases, payment plans end up adding tons of interest to the original balance owed.

-If your balance is small, it may be tempting to just pay it all off now. However, be aware that paying your debt does not necessarily repair your credit. When you agree to pay, you must also add a clause to the agreement that forces the debt collector to contact the credit bureaus on your behalf and have the collection item removed from your credit history.

-Get everything in writing! Although some debt collection companies record their phone calls, these transcripts are not to be relied upon. If you want to dispute a debt or negotiate a payment plan, you are much better off sending written communications via certified mail, so that you can prove what was said when.

-Bad credit has serious consequences. Everyone knows that you need good credit to get good financing for a car or a house, but most people don’t realize that bad credit can also affect your ability to get a new job. Nowadays, it has become common practice for employers to screen applicants by running their credit reports. If you have a bad credit score, it will reflect very poorly on you and you will have a harder time landing a new job.

-Hire a professional! This is the single most important thing you can do in order to make a bill collection company like GC Services Collection take you seriously. Often, once a debt collector begins receiving mail from your lawyer, they will back off significantly.

Credit Score Dropped to 501

GC Services Collection brought my credit score down to 501. I could not believe the impact it had.

In my case, I had been receiving letters and daily phone calls from GC Services Collection for quite a long time before I realized I should get professional help. I had come up with a pretty good routine of just throwing out my mail unopened and never answering the phone unless I recognized the number.

However, that all changed when I happened to order a copy of my credit report. I saw that GC Services Collection had reported several collection items to the credit bureaus. There was also something called a “civil judgment” on my report. That really freaked me out. I didn’t remember getting any sort of notice that GC Services Collection had taken me to court!

I soon learned that a civil judgment or credit judgment is a court ruling stating that you owe a debt. Once a court has ruled on your case, the debt collector has a few more nasty tactics to potentially use against you. For example, the debt collector might get permission to garnish your wages, seize and auction your property, or place a lien on your home. Plus, credit judgments can stay on your record for 10 to 12 years and depress your credit score at least 250 points.

I knew that I couldn’t live with GC Services Collection having the power to garnish my wages, seize my property, and place liens on my home for the next 10 to 12 years! There’s just no way to build a life with those potential catastrophes hanging over your head all the time.

GC Services Collection Deletion Letter!

I received this deletion letter in the mail saying that GC Services Collection was no longer on my credit report. I was so excited!

I decided to call the professionals at Lexington Law. From my online research, I knew that Lexington Law had a great track record of repairing even the worst credit scores. With their staff of 24 attorneys and 200 paralegals and assistants working in 19 states, there was sure to be someone on hand who could help me. What impressed me most about Lexington Law was this statistic: in 2010 alone, they removed over one million items from their clients’ credit reports!

During my free phone consultation, I was treated with compassion and respect by a representative of Lexington Law. Unlike the GC Services Collection rep, the Lexington Law rep was willing to actually listen to my story and then discuss multiple possibilities for resolving the situation.

Erase GC Services Collection with Lexington Law

The Lexington Law rep explained that we could fight my collection items by initiating a debt validation process. Basically, Lexington Law would notify GC Services Collection that they needed to prove that I owed the debts represented by the collection items. If GC Services Collection couldn’t prove it, I wouldn’t owe it and we could get the items removed from my credit history.

We could also review the statute of limitations for my state, in case my debt was so old it had actually expired. Debt collectors are forbidden to collect on expired debts, but they will often try anyway! If they can get you to make a payment on an old debt, in some cases that will restart the statute of limitations, and suddenly they are getting paid when they really shouldn’t be.

Finally, Lexington Law would review GC Services Collection’s actions and determine if at any point they had violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act or the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If we could prove that GC Services Collection had failed to properly serve me the papers for my credit judgment, we had a good chance of getting that removed from my record as well.

I got really excited after hearing all of the ways Lexington Law could help me. I hired them immediately, and felt much more calm and peaceful about the whole situation. I realized that taking positive steps to regain financial control of my life was way better than hiding my head in the sand and pretending I didn’t care about my credit score.

Within a short time, Lexington Law came through for me and delivered amazing results! I could hardly believe it myself, except I got PROOF in the mail from all three credit bureaus. Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax all three sent me notices stating that my collection items AND my credit judgment had been removed.

Until this happens to you, you can’t imagine what a good feeling it is to hold those papers in your hands. I felt so completely vindicated. I congratulated myself on hiring Lexington Law to beat back the bullies at GC Services Collection and repair my credit. I only wish I’d called Lexington Law sooner!

After GC Services Collection was deleted

This is a credit score chart that shows my improvement after GC Services Collection was deleted. My credit score Jumped to 745!

After a few more months, my credit score fully recovered. I took advantage of my new 700s credit score to get great financing on my first brand new car. Whenever I drive that car now, I think about Lexington Law and the invaluable education about debt collection and credit repair that I gained during the time they worked for me.

If you have been contacted by a debt collection company like GC Services Collection, don’t waste any time in denial. Unless you happen to be a lawyer yourself, you won’t have the expertise needed to dispute the debt and get your credit repaired.
